JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fabrication of production assemblies used in the
production plant that meet the Companys and PCIs requirements of a
certified welder. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Position,
align, fit, and weld parts and pieces, following blueprints and layout
specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Set up
and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame
cutters, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill,
or otherwise form and assemble metal components. Verifies conformance of
work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring
tapes. Tack-weld fitted parts together. Remove high spots and cut
bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches.
Hammer, chip, and grind work pieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
Set up face blocks, jigs, and fixtures. Straighten warped or bent parts,
using sledges, hand torches or straightening presses. Align and fit
parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges,
drift pins, pry bars, and hammers. Design and construct templates and
fixtures, using hand tools. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must hold a
current and valid welding certification, D1.1 and D1.4 preferred.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and blue print. Ability to
proficient weld using the following techniques: Mig, Arc, Gas, Stick and
Tig Ability to get to work on time, on a daily basis. Ability to work
outside year-round (as required) Be detail oriented and have Excellent
organizational skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally. Physically able to
push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use
hands/forearms repetitively and frequently. Ability to move around for
up to 12 hours per day. WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate to high risk of
exposure to unusual elements. Moderate to high risk of safety
precautions. Moderate to high exposure to production environment. This
