rAbout This Role:

The College of Health and Human Sciences is looking to hire a
Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct research into chemo- and/or
radio-sensitizing strategies in HPV and HPV- head and neck cancers.
This position will use in vitro and animal models to progress towards
this goal and will be expected to communicate their findings orally and
in peer-reviewed manuscripts.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Evaluate radio- and chemo-sensitizing agents in animal and cell
culture models of HPV head and neck cancers, using methods
including but not limited to tissue culture, western blot,
immunofluorescence microscopy, organotypic raft cultures, drug
sensitivity assays, xenograft, and other standard molecular virology
techniques
– Present research findings to scientific audiences in oral and
written peer-reviewed manuscript(s)
– Perform routine cleaning, media preparation and repairs of
laboratory equipment, reagents and infrastructure

What Youll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

– Ph.D. in a relevant field
– Strong research and publication track record
– Cancer or viral research experience

Preferred Qualifications:

– Extensive experience with cell signaling in the context of virus or
cancer research at a top research university or institute

States at the time of employment

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$47,476 – $50,000 annual
