rAbout This Role:

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary
Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated Small
Animal Medicine/Urgent Care team. This position will assist in
facilitating exemplary patient care and quality customer service.
Responsibilities of the person in this role may include restraint of
patients for treatments, transporting patients, restocking supplies, and
maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of the service area. Working
hours for this position will include Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a
rotating on-call schedule.

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed
on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What Youll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

– High school diploma
– One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

– Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to
domestic animals.
– Ability to work with and provide preventative maintenance for
ordinary veterinary medical hospital equipment.
– Ability to perform word processing and data entry procedures on a
personal computer.
– Willing and able to master new techniques.
– Ability to write and interpret written direction.

Other Requirements:

– Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
at the time of employment.
