We are currently seeking a Mortgage Advisor to join our Retail Team in Wichita, KS. This role is responsible for providing and managing mortgage consulting services for bank customers.

Essential functions of the role:

Provide retail mortgage and consulting services to customers and branch associates

Analyze information to determine strategies for meeting customers’ mortgage needs

Research and resolve customer issues, in addition to anticipating potential problems and take preventative action

Provide proactive, solution-based approaches to enhancing customer relations and other financial needs

Manage mortgage advisory process to ensure regulatory compliance

Maintain current understanding of various documentation types, loan programs, required disclosures, as well as all overall general underwriting guidelines

Ensures mortgage product presented is suitable for customer

Maintains complete and accurate records throughout the mortgage process

Maintains knowledge of the various systems and services used in the mortgage process and serve as a resource for mortgage advisory processes and procedures

Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required

5 years’ experience with retail mortgage products is required OR level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements

Customer relationship management experience required

Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software required

Bachelor’s degree preferred
