We have an exciting opportunity open for a Construction & Maintenance
Technician I based in Camden, AR.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs company field operations including manual labor and other
duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair, construction
and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Install, repair, or replace steel and plastic pipe
– Provide First Responder assistance in emergency situations
– Load and unload required equipment, tools, and supplies onto and
from truck
– Locate gas lines
– Use a variety of hand tools and power tools, including picks,
shovels, sharpshooters, pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, bolt cutters,
pavement saws, jack hammers, air guns, etc.
– Operate a motor vehicle and heavy equipment and the ability to enter
and exit vehicle unassisted
– Operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop
– Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount
of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move
objects
– Stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch daily for extended periods of
time and in all types of weather conditions
– Handle emergency situations, including possible exposure to gaseous
atmospheres on occasion
– Respond to emergency calls and/or call-outs and occasionally return
to work while off duty
– Certify and don personal protective equipment, such as respirator,
safety glasses, hardhat, gloves, protective footwear and earplugs on
a daily basis
– Submit to random drug screen pool required for DOT drivers and DOT
safety sensitive positions
– Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

– High school diploma or GED
– Valid drivers license
– Ability to work outdoors on a daily basis in all types of weather
conditions
– Must be available to respond to emergencies during and after normal
working hours

Nice to have experience includes:

– Welding
– Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
– Heavy equipment operator
– Field services/operations
