Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position $95,200 – $129,200. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. About the Role: The Windows Configuration Management Specialist will deploy, update, patch, secure and/or sustain all environment instances.
Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:
Must be knowledgeable in implementing Windows Server systems in a phased approach from initial build through installation, configuration, and testing.
Must be capable of performing configuration management, integrating software, interpreting software test results, and recommending solutions for unsatisfactory test results.
Must be knowledgeable in life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management.
Must be able to provide solutions to identified software problem reports. Such as vulnerability findings in ACAS.
Must Review and update configuration management documentation regularly.
Perform installations of software and tools, deploy updates regularly, patch, apply and document STIGs regularly.
Provide technical expertise to support configuration management of variant technologies with EWSC.
Perform configuration management of existing or new applications, software, and hardware.
Support all Windows EWSC Environments with existing and new technologies while complying with DLA enterprise infrastructure requirements.
Develop and execute Windows automations, testing policies and procedures.
Design, develop, operate, and maintain prototypes to support configuration management projects.
Perform configuration management support activities for technology refresh.
Examine functional, management, and technical requirements to provide effective solutions for configuration management efforts.
Recommend and after COTR approval, enhance or develop system interfaces between various client server applications with EWSC by employing patch processes or Application Programming Interfaces (API) via distributed or standalone environments.
Conduct reviews to identify configuration management problems such as requirement clarification, architecture, policy compliance, and engineering guideline compliance.
Perform in depth research into Events, Vulnerabilities and Findings to discover Root Cause and Mediation and / or Work Around and Create Documentation that Justifies Findings.
Perform additional configuration management support services as identified within the scope of services for the Task Order.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years relevant experience.
Experience in manual cyber security and STIG auditing and implementation.
Education Requirements:
Years of experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Certificate, License, and Registration Requirements:
Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAT level III (CASP CE, CCNP Security,
CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH)
Computing Environment: MCSA:WS2012, MCSA:WS2016, GIAC Certified Windows
Security Administrator (GCWN), MCSA Web Application Web Developer II, MC
