SUMMARY

For assigned projects, plan, and direct construction operations to ensure successful completion of contract work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Development and implementation of schedules and work plans for assigned projects

Communicate with Customers and project team members to coordinate job schedules, changes and address any construction issues that arise

Provide direction to field personnel and ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules

Ensure project documentation and quantity reporting is accurate and complete

Develop submittals, change orders, and pay requests as assigned

Resolve or participate in resolving construction problems

Review and evaluate daily costs, timesheets, truck, and equipment usage

Monitor employee compliance with safety program requirements, and document and ensure corrective measures are implemented

Coordinate and cooperate with other departments (i.e., Quality Control, Equipment) to ensure that all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. are in place to support craft activities and project schedule

Qualifications

Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in heavy highway and site development preferred

Experience with asphalt, concrete, grading, and underground utility preferred

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Exceptional organizational skills

Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential

Problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Self-motivated; ability to work independently

Good written and verbal communication skills
