Assistant Branch Manager II

Pay Range: $26.00 – $34.72

As part of the management team in a Level III branch, the assistant branch manager II supervises direct reports and the daily activities of the branch to ensure quality customer service standards and performance metrics are being met. Maintains an appropriate focus on performance/results to include relationship building, lending, safety along with operational and audit soundness. Monitors, identifies and controls compliance risks and operation exposure. Assists with interviewing candidates for branch positions, selection of the training needs, coaching and supports the on-going career development of staff. Exhibits leadership and participation in promoting the banks positive image in the communities in which they are located. Assist with the management of the branch budget.

Education and Experience:

4 year college degree or equivalent retail, retail banking, or financial services experience

3 years retail banking experience required

Business development & outside business sales experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

Leadership skills.

Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills.

Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Problem solving/decision making skills.

PC Skills.

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

NMLS Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Tasks Performed:

35% Builds customer relationships by providing services to customers, including but not limited to: opening accounts, taking and closing on loan applications and referring customer inquiries to appropriate service partner when necessary.

35% Scale and scope of responsibilities associated with a Level III branch, ABM II plays a heightened role in the leadership and management of the branch. Performs supervisory responsibility in the absence of the branch manager. Assists the branch manager in the selection & development of a competent staff by participating in training and coaching in the areas of sales and service. Responsible for sales coaching and executing sales activities in achieving individual and team goals. Assists with annual reviews, helps establish individual sales goals and proposes salary recommendations to the manager for approval. 15% Scale and scope of responsibilities associated with a Level III branch in terms of production, FTE and asset size. Provides supervisory oversight of programs to proactively identify, monitor and control compliance risk and operational exposure.

5% Participates in the community emphasizing CRA responsiveness.

5% Participates in Market meetings and is viewed as a member of the Market management team. Assists with the management of the branch budget.

5% Other duties as assigned.
