ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR – Senior Living Community
Join our resident-centered care team at our Cadillac Senior Living Community.
Are you looking to have an impact on the lives of Seniors in our community. In this role, you will be working with our amazing resident centered care team, partnering with our community healthcare partners and our multi-discipline team to ensure that our new residents and their families have the best experience in navigating care and services whether for a short term rehabilitation or a long term stay.
We have a newly-vacant full time opportunity as an ADMISSIONS Coordinator in our Senior Living Center.

Coordinates admission of residents and develops relationships with potential residents, responsible parties, hospitals and physicians to provide information on the services provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement monthly sales & marketing plans (MAP), strategies, and techniques to communicate the organization’s mission, services, and opportunities to the community that effectuate full occupancy of communities; and within the continuum
Focus on census building, effectiveness, research, market needs and conduct regular review of strategies as part of the team
Establish contacts and build relationships with multiple levels of prospects; including but not limited to, hospital discharge planners, churches, referral agencies, community influencers, vendors, other relevant sources, building knowledge of the organization, internally and externally
Communicate levels of care offered and assess placements based on clients clinical needs, preferences, and financial resources. Consult with nursing staff to assess clinical needs of potential residents along with other departments as part of the team when necessary
Plan and coordinate admissions. Verify client’s ability to pay including Medicare coverage. Prepare and explain patient contract, programs, and policies to responsible party during admission. Complete all paperwork with the responsible party during the admission process
Coordinate client’s room assignment and arrival with nursing and other departments. Engage with resident/responsible party upon admission. Record in the appropriate database as required
Develop and track census, insurance coverage, medications and other necessary items for completing admission. May be responsible for working with designated team on discharge planning as necessary
Establish contacts with potential residents, responsible parties, hospital discharge planners, referral agencies, volunteers, civic groups, and other professional groups to provide information on services available and capacity for referrals
Plan and conduct guided tours, in-house events and activities to inform potential residents, responsible parties, and professional community groups of services provided. Record activities in appropriate database
Ensure that the move-in experience meets or exceeds the Samaritas standards and expectations for customer service
Engage in census strategies, meetings and planning sessions with high level of concentration
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
Associates degree in public relations, marketing, business or related field or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
Two years’ experience in administrative, marketing, sales or patient care role
Healthcare experience preferred
Additional Work Requirements
Extended work hours and weekends are required
