Job Summary

The Innovative Automation (IA) team govern the automation of manual business processes utilizing Robotics Process Automation (RPA) framework and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, BluePrism etc.) including developing standards, managing demand and delivery assurance, and monitoring change and incident management. The Innovative Automation team aids the organization by automating manual tasks performed by VST Retail employees thus releasing resource capacity back to the business for other high value activities and strategic enterprise needs.

Innovative Automation Analyst reports to the Manager – Innovative Automation and works closely with business and technology stakeholders across Vistra.

Job Description

Overview:

The Innovative Automation (IA) team governs the automation of manual business processes utilizing the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) framework and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, BluePrism, etc.) including developing standards, managing demand and delivery assurance, and monitoring change and incident management. The Innovative Automation team aids the organization by automating manual tasks performed by VST Retail employees thus releasing resource capacity back to the business for other high-value activities and strategic enterprise needs.

Innovative Automation Analyst reports to the Manager – Innovative Automation and works closely with business and technology stakeholders across Vistra.

Responsibilities:

Analyze functional and business requirements required for RPA

Identify potential processes for RPA and create the solution design

Develop, configure, and deploy RPA solutions according to business needs and requirements.

Review, repair and modify RPA solutions to ensure technical accuracy, security compliance and reliability standards

Perform code review, bug fixing, exception handling

This role requires substantial utilization of Microsoft Power Platfrom with the purpose of delivering value with reliable automated business processes.

The primary job functions center around the following categories:

RPA process development

Demand Management

Change Management

Requirements:

2 years of experience working with RPA application software with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform

In-depth understanding of RPA capabilities, methodology, and best practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Above-average communication, organizational and process mapping skills

Ability to establish working relationships with cross-functional partners

Experience gained through college degree programs and / or certifications is applicable to the above requirements.

Key Metrics:

Productive hours released to business groups by automating manual processes utilizing RPA software application

Exemplify standardized best practices for all RPA efforts

Maintain a pipeline of manual processes and automation opportunities

Percentage of processes automated by the desired target date

Number of defect/rework hours as a percent of total deployment hours
