The Manager, Editorial will manage a team of editors as well as support Post workflows in our Dry Creek facility. This individual will ensure productive processes are in place for our international compliance editors, collaborating with other department leads on international workflows that support the international supply chain. They will also play a key role in being a site lead for our overall Post department in Dry Creek, supporting other Post team members who are on site, who’s management is located at other sites.
Job Duties:
Manage and lead the international staff and freelance edit team, ensuring their talents and capabilities meet the needs of our international clients
Maintain training matrix and scorecard for staff and freelance
Prepare annual evaluation for direct reports and maintain one on one communication with them on a regular basis
Responsible for approving PTO and weekly hours in TimeKeeper for direct reports payroll.
Support editorial initiatives for the department
Interact with domestic Editorial Manager, Supervisor and Post Support Techs on VPost Production systems and workflow changes, as well as help support edit team on Avid, Adobe Premiere and After Effects
Create and maintain standard operating procedures, requirements for international editors and workflows related to editorial functions
Coordinate the results of defects and operator follow up
Operational support for Editorial management team
Assist in special projects on an as needed basis
Hold editors accountable for productivity and reliability
Responsible of defect/quality tracking
Report pulling to tracking team asset creation and hours as needed
Collaborate with Director and Engineering to research and implement new technology that will enable continued growth within the edit environment to drive productivity using new technology as it comes available
Implementation of new processes and work with supervising editors on training and other related responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in related field or equivalent work experience
7 yrs experience in Post Production and knowledge of editing and graphics
2 yrs as a lead operator or prior experience in leading and/or managing a team
Strong communication skills
Ability to train others
Ability to manage projects/deadlines independently
Extremely organized
Client Services focused
Detail Oriented
Subject Matter Expert for Post Production services, processes, and technology
Technical/Troubleshooting experience with Avid Media Composer and the Adobe Creative Suite, (Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop)
Ability to demonstrate problem solve with minimal direction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Avid Media Composer a plus
Knowledge of Translator and Mediator Workflows
Understanding Shortform Finishing process
Experience in Microsoft Office applications
Familiar with digital video formats and codecs
Working knowledge of the Post Production ecosystem is a plus
Must be willing to work onsite at the Centennial, CO facility a minimum of 3 days per week
Must be willing to work Nights/Weekends as needed
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
