Automation Engineer – Embedded

Job Description

This team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We have built a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. Our team has the responsibility for taking breakthrough concepts and delivering them to market at scale. This team seeks a motivated individual with deep understanding of printed circuit board design (PCB), high speed design environments, and the ability to receive guidance from our design engineers to build complex circuit boards.

Manage all aspects of PCB design, work with hardware design engineers and PCB/Assembly vendors to determine PCB stack-up, apply design constraints, perform component placement, signal routing, and DFM.

Create OrCAD schematic symbols, PCB footprint and 3D component models in Allegro, and maintain ECAD library database

Lead layout of mixed signal, high-speed, and RF multi-layer HDI circuit boards.

Prepare fabrication notes, assembly notes, and all deliverables, such as Gerber files, drill charts, PCB assembly BOMs etc, required by PCB FAB vendors to build circuit boards for prototypes and products.

Work with PCB FAB vendors to address DFM concerns and feedback

Skills and Requirements

- 10 years of experience in Embedded Engineering and/or Automation Engineering

- Expertise with CAD systems and fixture designs

- Proficiency in Python and C- Experience developing test scripts and code as well as integration of code

- Experience working in a product design environment null
