Mail Clerk/Driver

Purpose of the Position

Provide messenger and delivery services to FDNY, MTA, and Banknote locations throughout 5 boroughs of New York City.

This is a Backup Floater position and is considered Part-time. Hours can range between 20-40 hours per week.

Hourly salary is determined by site contract and varies between $17.00 – $17.50

Essential Functions:

Sort mail by location.

Deliver and pick up all mail and packages at the various division locations.

Pickup and deliver department orders to all locations.

Must be ready/on call to deliver packages outside of the division

Responsible for all parking rules/EZ Pass and muni-meter app/phone provided.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have a valid NYS drivers license.

Must have driving knowledge of all 5 boroughs.

Must be cooperative and a team player

Prior driving position preferred.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 2 years minimum in delivery/messenger environment or similar setting.
