Pay Range: $21.66 – $28.90

Responsible for underwriting all types ofpersonal lendingloan applications ensuring bank, policy, and program guidelines are adhered to. Assures the integrity of the decision by comparting the loan file and supporting documentation data with the system data for accuracy. Informs customer or branch personnel of loan decisions while providing details of conditions. Complies with all policies, procedures, and regulations. Works with borrower, loan officer and others to resolvequestions and obtain documentation in a timely manner. Responsible for building and maintaining good branch relationships.

Education and Experience:

2-5 years prior banking or lending experience preferred

4-Year Business Degree orequivalent education and experience desired

Strong computer proficiency – i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Loan policy, products and procedure

Strong mathematical skills.

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

NMLS Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Tasks Performed:

70% Determines which requests for financing from the branch Network should be accepted, rejected, or conditionally accepted, using all applicable information reasonably available. Complying with State and Federal regulations, Bank Policy, and Department guidelines and practices. Performs prudent underwriting risk management protocols in connection with the home equity line of credit and revolving credit line portfolios to identify deteriorating or at-risk credits. Responsible for the efficient execution of portfolio analysis end of draw and risk trigger processes and workflows. Collaboration with internal and external customers will be necessary to alleviate or minimize losses through the proactive oversight of existing line of credit relationships. Responsible for pre-screening and underwriting the existing customer base; facilitating referrals to Special Assets as necessary; and adjudicating renewal requests as appropriate.

15% Builds and maintains relationships with branches and other customers by providing prompt, courteous, and reliable services. Maintaining their workload within stated turn around standards.

5% Keeps the department supervisor aware of issues and ways of improving efficiencies and procedures within the Department and Bank.

5% Recognizes and takes advantages of opportunities to obtain additional business.

5% Other duties as assigned.
