# Previous Automotive Sales Manager dealership experience IS required

The ideal candidate enjoys working hands-on with in store customers and staff daily. You will train and mentor your Sales Consultants to help them achieve goals through following a customer focused sales process and coach them on proven sales techniques.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a proven track record in a similar market sized store. An impeccable reputation, good leadership skills and a commitment to customer service at the highest level is a must.

Responsibilities

– Works directly with customers and sales consultants throughout the sales process
– Employees exceptional follow up conversation techniques to prospective and current customers
– Trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of reporting salespeople.
– Ensures that each customer is greeted quickly and professionally.
– Helps salespeople throughout the sales process, as necessary.
– Communicates with new-vehicle and used-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
– Conducts sales training meetings as directed by the general sales manager.
– Provides input on forecasting accurate and realistic monthly goals and objectives for individual salespeople and provides them with the support to meet these goals.
– Assists in development of improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives.
– Ensures salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating.
– Recommends for dismissal any salesperson failing to meet dealership standards.
– Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
– Monitors customer activity. Trains and helps improve the performance of salespeople. Learns advanced systems and methods for becoming a sales manager.

Requirements

– Two or more years related experience in an automotive sales management position required
– Two or more years of sales experience preferred.
– Excellent people leadership skills
– Outstanding customer service skills.
– Professional appearance and work ethic.
– Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Valid NC drivers license and a clean driving record
