Grain Department Manager

AGRILAND FS is looking for a strong sales and business focused Grain Department Manager. This individual will be responsible for grain origination and sales, hedging, logistics, and compliance for our growing grain business and ensure its financial performance and profitable growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Manage purchases and sales of grain commodities for all locations and provide market intelligence and business information to sales and operations

Establish grain customer pricing policies to maximize gross and service income

Develop hedging strategies and execute risk management programs through use of futures and options

Make grain department recommendations for improvements and capital expenditure

Supervise, lead, and develop grain merchandising staff

What we need from you:

Bachelors degree in business or related field and 5-7 years of grain industry experience

Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the entire grain cycle: grain origination, storage, merchandising, hedging, logistics, and compliance

Successful experience developing and leading employees

Work on-site in our Corporate Office in Winterset, Iowa
