Director of corporate & Foundation Relations

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Corporate/Foundation and Major Gifts and working in collaboration with the Senior Vice President of University Advancement, the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations will develop fundraising and partnership initiatives in support of a wide range of University priorities targeted to corporations, foundations, professional associations, and other private organizations with the capacity to make significant gifts and other contributions to the University.1.Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.2.Minimum of 5 years of development experience preferred, with a significant portion of that experience directly related to higher education corporate and foundation relations, and on-line application process. 3.Knowledge of fundraising including grant and proposal writing and interaction with corporate and foundation officers. 4.Ability to work well with faculty, staff, students, and various offices across the University.5.Excellent written and oral communication skills. 6.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with deans, faculty, administration, and president in program development initiatives. 7.Familiarity with the New Jersey corporate and foundation community is desired. 8.A valid driver’s license, accessibility to a car, and ability to travel within the New Jersey/New York area; other travel as needed.9.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
