Phlebotomist

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for 3 Jr level Phlebotomists to work in Long Island, NY. These candidates should have the ability to distinguish sample types and draw requirements with order of draw for lab testing. They will navigate laboratory computer system with minimal to no errors. Perform pediatric and adult phlebotomy and obtain finger stick collection. They will be verifying patient demographics accurately with two patient identifiers and adhere to safety and scientifically accepted infection control practices and standards. The pace of work should be between 4-6 patients per hour as well.

Skills and Requirements

1 Years of Experience in phlebotomy or previous lab experience

Phlebotomy certified

Strong Communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Reliable transportation null
