Position Specific Description

The Distribution Operations Department is looking for an Associate Engineer to join their team. This candidate will handle the design of complex revenue generating projects such as single-family homes, commercial designs, and residential subdivisions. Employees in this role apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to broad variety of assignments and related fields. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks.

This position is based at the Indian River Service Center, Walton Service Center, or Stuart Service Center in Florida.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields. Employees in this role evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects. This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Works on all aspects of engineering design and permitting

• Assists with project management, negotiations, performance tracking and reporting

• Acts as a single point of contact for low to complex projects for the department

• Assists with policies, training, and support of organization

• Prepares communications, presentations and conducts meetings

• Assists with research, development, and improvement measures

• Meets attendance and storm duty requirements

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License (NON CDL)

• High School Grad / GED

• Bachelors – Engineering

• Experience:0 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

• Masters Degree

• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified

• Six Sigma Master Black Belt
