Part-time to Full-time hours based on the business

Clean and safe work environment

What will you be doing? Billing, Posting, Medical Environment, Clerical

Verify eligibility of patient insurance, take copays/patient payments.

Measure blood pressure, pulse, weight, height (medical intake)

Maintain knowledge of mental health terms commensurate to the ability to correctly code diagnosis and services

Review all intake forms for accuracy and completion; obtain any missing information from patient

Review patient claims for demographic and coding accuracy and completeness; obtain any missing data

Verify and correctly code issues per insurance requests or claim denials

Verify all requested medical records prior to release

Maintain active Certified Professional Coder certification adherent to the most current code set for both the Internationals Classification of Disease and Current Procedural Terminology

Assist with claims corrections and denial resolution

Receives and responds to calls and notifications regarding medical record issues and orders

Reviews internal chart audits for documentation and coding accuracy and review encounter forms for coding accuracy.

Maintains strictest confidentiality with foundation of HIPAA practices

Performs related work as required.

What do you bring?

Two years of experience working in a medical practice or in a health insurance organization

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (able to work collaboratively)

Claims processing skills

Electronic Medical Records Experience

Medical Assistant background is good but not required.

Ability to navigate all MS Office/Adobe Acrobat as necessary

Solid Clerical Skills
