Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Programmer Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Machinist with experience in Aerospace, Military, or prototype environments. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and be capable of performing CNC machining from start to finish – meaning program parts off blueprints from scratch, making the part, and inspecting the quality.
Hard Skills
Utilize measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges
Set up and operate all available machine tools
Perform progressive machining operations with close tolerances
Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds
Ensure product quality meets customer specifications
Establish CNC tool setups and validate CNC programs for 3 and 5 axis machines
Set up and operate CNC mills
Detect and report machine operation issues and defective materials
CNC Mill Machinist (4-5 Axis)
WorkNC Programming (from scratch/edits)
Horizontal milling experience
Siemens controller experience
Soft Skills
Attention to detail
Problem-solving
Collaboration with CNC Programmers
Ability to follow special instructions and drawings
Report discrepancies and unusual condition
Work Environment
This is a newer and large facility with a laid-back atmosphere as long as tasks are completed. It can be warmer in the summer but has some breeze. The facility is clean compared to other manufacturing companies, with designated areas for each group of workers and efficient processes to complete work. There are 200 employees working in the facility.
