you come in. We have an immediate hiring need for a full-time Quality
Engineer located at our manufacturing facility in Ladysmith, WI. You
will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance
protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials,
production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and
items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards
and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies
trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and
bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and
statistical process control procedures are followed. Ensures compliance
with internal and external specifications and standards such as ISO
regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing,
documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Your Responsibilities: Drive efforts to improve internal defects per
unit (DPU), Rolled Throughput Yield Loss (RTYL), external Parts Per
Million (PPM), reduce scrap and improve quality in the manufacturing
operation. Develop and evaluate processes using capability studies,
process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process
audits to improve performance and capability. Lead Kaizen events and
other productivity and cost reduction initiatives to achieve plant
targets. Uses standard problem-solving techniques and tools to identify
root cause and develop corrective actions. Utilize A3 methodology to
determine root cause and develop / implement steps that resolve
