Job Description

The Executive Director Finance is accountable for leading the finance/accounting and IT teams in managing the Companys financial and accounting policies systems and processes tax and regulatory compliance payroll systems and processes internal controls electronic infrastructure development maintenance and control financial analysis annual and quarterly business planning. This position provides leadership and coaching to the accounting/finance and IT teams as well as to other management team members in finance and operational related activities.

Job Duties

Responsible for the delivery of efficient and cost effective accounting and financial policies processes and systems that meet the current and future business requirements of the Company.

Manage customer invoicing and collections accounts payable and cash disbursements and payroll and MBO bonus functions.

401(k) administration and interface with external providers (Vanguard/Multnomah Group).

Work with OCA corporate on transfer pricing related to Spiration products.

Maintain standard product costing system including product cost determination inventory level reporting and variance analysis.

Maintain system to ensure timely tracking validation payment and reporting of clinical study expenditures.

Lead initiative to ensure compliance with Olympus corporate Regional Control Framework (RGF) and Global Control Framework (GCF) by analyzing developing implementing and monitoring processes and procedures within Spiration ORA. Ensure the Company is in compliance with all internal and corporate parent (Jsox) policies relevant regulations and timely local state and federal filings.

Oversee reporting to the corporate parent; review and analyze results and prepare financial statements as required.

Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.

Provide expertise and guidance to manufacturing to ensure production levels inventory and cost of goods are meeting corporate objectives.

Coordinate the cash management function with corporate parent. Maintain cash flow forecasting and manage spending in accordance with cash level requirements.

Prepare and present monthly and year-to-date financials with accompanying analysis of results. Develop regular reporting and analysis including key metrics reports and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required. Ensure financial management reporting tools and processes are in place to support the ongoing and future needs of the business. Lead the annual financial plan development and budgeting process based on corporate parent structure and timelines.

Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to company managers. Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans.

Understanding and experience with re-engineering processes and large-scale systems change.

Other responsibilities as requested may be assigned.

Job Qualifuactions

Required:

B.A or equivalent in Accounting Business or Finance.

Advanced degree strongly preferred.

CPA License required (active or inactive).

Minimum of 20 years working knowledge in accounting and finance.

Minimum 7 years of people-management experience.

Minimum 5 years of executive management experience.

Large and start-up company experience also required.

Preferred:

Public company experiences preferred.

Strong business acumen and experience with strategy development and implementation.

Ability to grasp Companys priorities and develop policies processes and systems to support the achievement of these priorities in a cost effective manner.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Control Procedures.

Knowledge of Financial and ERP systems.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $158,600.00 – $237,899.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
