This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a System Administrator near Ft. Meade, MD. HII Mission Technologies is a technology solutions company delivering technical expertise and operational support to the United States Department of Defense, civilian government agencies and commercial customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

As the SA the individual works closely with the ISSM and various Government Agencies and Offices to maintain and manage classified Information Systems.

Manages changes to the system and assesses the security impact of those changes.

Ensures all system security procedures are being followed including maintaining and reviewing software security patching in accordance with various customer requirements.

Maintain responsibility for Information System hardware and software control for secure operating environments.

Perform periodic self-inspections of the overall Information System program and ensure compliance with various government regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

An ideal candidate will be a fast-learning, self-motivated individual with a passion to work on and positively impact our nation’s defense against digital threats.

Knowledge across all aspects of Information Systems Security

Experience in risk assessment and security incident management

Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems

Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting virtual environments is a plus

Experience configuring software, modifying software configuration and performing basic configuration management IAW with all STIGs and other Cybersecurity requirements

Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and NISPOM

Experience with vulnerability scanning and logging tools a plus

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in both a team environment as well as independently

Must be organized and detail orientated

Backup and assist other members of the Security Staff as required

Certification- Security certification with a preference of CISSP

Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with poly

Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of Access Commander or SIMS

Networking and access control knowledge

SAP experience

COMSEC experience
