A Senior Pipe Stress Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This role involves performing pipe stress analysis according to ASME B31.3, modeling piping systems for flexibility and stability, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and requires expertise in pipe stress analysis programs and industry standards.

salary: $39.07 – 84.47 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

Perform pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.

Model piping systems to verify:

Piping flexibility

Stability

Qualification of equipment nozzle loads

Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers for quality and cost-effective design.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 and other relevant piping codes and standards.

Prior experience with pipe stress analysis programs.

Education: BS degree with 9 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

PE Registration (Professional Engineer).

Experience with pipe stress analysis programs like ME101 and/or Bentley AutoPIPE.

Previous experience on company projects.

Previous experience on DOD/DOE projects.
