STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Staff Accountant

Fountain Services, LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Accountant. Responsible for the management of the Fountain Electric Accounting Department.

The position reports to the Spindale NC office and qualifies for full benefits after a 90-day introductory period.

Minimum Experience Requirements and Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

Preparing journal entries, and account reconciliations

Reconcile monthly bank statements

Assist with accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, accounts receivable, etc;

Assist in financial reviews and audits

Prepare and file quarterly tax documents, including 1099’s, W-2’s, etc;

Assist in month-end/year-end closing

Monitoring all accounting entries ensuring accuracy

Ensuring compliance with GAAP

Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills

Manage and prepare pay applications on a monthly basis

401k plan management and education

Monitor project and company balance sheets and cash flow

Collaborate with Project Managers and department heads to track financial performance

Experience with Sage CRE 300 would be a plus

Experience with accounting in a Construction Industry would be a plus

Minimum Experience Requirement : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. 2-3 years of experience in professional accounting.

Should be proficient with Microsoft Excel
