Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Spring CO-OP student to join our Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) department in Duluth, Georgia. As a CO-OP student, you will provide program management support as we work to implement the 2030/35 Sustainable Development Roadmap. Specifically, this position will assume project leadership duties for Life Cycle Assessments to define the data collection process, data storage, prioritization, stakeholder identification and communication, and project timelines. The CO-OP student will have core responsibility to deliver a playbook to improve data collection to ensure consistency in meeting defined timelines for Life Cycle Assessments and define the process flow on how to manage the LCAs results, including repository, actions, and key performance indicators.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Executive Director, Sustainability and US Strategy & Operations is responsible for leading and driving the development and implementation of BIs Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) strategy and framework across all US business and functions, aligned with the global SD4G network. This role will influence the evolution of the global SD4G strategy while simultaneously translating/localizing it into the US pillars and initiatives. The incumbent will actively collaborate with external partners and key internal leaders across BI to ensure that SD4G is embedded into BIs business operations, strategy, and culture as well as lead and inspire all US employees to embrace SD4G as part of the fabric of the BI organization. The Executive Director, Sustainability and US Strategy & Operations will build a team of dedicated and shared US resources to support the SD4G mission. This role will offer advice and support CMD in defining strategic and operational direction to achieve US priorities as well as lead cross-functional teams to deliver key cross functional US projects and priorities as required. This role has a high degree of corporate visibility and critical impact across all BUs and functional areas. The incumbent must be able to make quick/agile business decisions in a highly complex environment. They must be able to lead global projects with little supervision/input. They must continually challenge and influence BIs BUs and core Initiatives to ensure that BIs SD framework is embedded into BIs business strategy and goals. They must ensure BIs SD framework delivers expected value to business and society through our core business and core initiatives.

Partner with the SD4G program/project leads to:

Develop and manage a project plan to include data collection, prioritization, and storage

Meet and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on program goals

Deliver a playbook to improve data collection processes

Process flow to manage the LCA’s results, including the repository, actions and key performance indicators

Requirements

Must be a current undergraduate, graduate, or advanced degree student in good academic standing

Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the COOP

Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred

Major or minor in related field (e.g., Business Management, MBA, Environmental Science)

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Compensation Data
