Role Summary/Purpose:

As an AVP, Lowes Portfolio Credit team member you will assume ownership of the full life cycle credit risk management for the Lowes Commercial portfolios. You will be responsible for credit risk reporting and analytical support across the different portfolios within the Lowes Commercial space with primary accountability for identifying and managing credit risk, across all components of the cardholder life-cycle through data gathering and analytics. You will support and interact with the client teams, credit strategy teams and Lowes, as well as with key contacts throughout Synchrony.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform & drive analytics under guidance of Lowes Commercial Portfolio Leader to grow the business, control losses & enhance customer experience

Work effectively cross-functionally to drive smart growth and client satisfaction while delivering safety and soundness in the portfolio

Ensure credit & fraud strategies are performing as expected, while owning on going monitoring of key portfolio risk trends for emerging risks or opportunities & communicating trends to portfolio leadership

Prepare and present client facing and leadership team presentations to facilitate informed decisions

Maintain and develop client reporting and ad-hoc analytics with SAS, Tableau and other data tools to draw conclusions and drive recommendations

Responsible for providing clear guidance to the organization on risk appetite and prudent growth

Be a leader in driving enhanced strategies, using champion/challenger leanings to manage credit and fraud risk

Investigate & resolve various customer and client issues & identify strategy enhancement opportunities

Coordinate planning cycle with client teams to ensure consistency in business plans

Maintain effective and credible challenge of critical decisions and business processes

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors degree and 3 years in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk, Finance, or Analytics role; or in lieu of a bachelors degree, 6 years in a consumer and/or commercial Credit/Risk, Finance or Analytics role.

3 years experience analyzing large data sets to derive strategic actionable credit insights including SAS, SQL, R or Python Programming Skills or other related analytic tools

Desired Characteristics:

Ability to accurately condense large amounts of information and present in a simple, cogent manner to senior level management and clients

Strong analytical skills, highly comfortable working in a quantitative environment

Experience operating as part of a cross functional team.

Use of advanced technical & analytical competencies in driving effective strategic goals

Strong communication and presentation skills

Familiarity with commercial/consumer lending products and practices

Advanced experience with SAS/SQL or other related analytic tools

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in position or performance expectations).
