OVERVIEW

SEM CHI Rice Products is searching for a (A Grade Maintenance Mechanic). The candidate should have strong experience in maintenance and repairs of industrial equipments like conveyors, elevators and/or other plant equipment. Specific skills include Hydraulics, pneumatic, Electrical Systems, Air Conditioning, Boilers, Chillers, Fans, etc. Job will primarily serve along the SEM CHI plant (Drying and processing, Rice Mill, Packaging, Biochar and Rice flour area). Candidates will be familiar with reading service manuals, parts manuals, safety guidelines, procedural manuals, and must have a good all-around electro-mechanical aptitude and knowledge. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are highly desired. A minimum of three years of experience is required.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience on Bearings and Gearboxes selection and replacement

Able to work overtime, shift rotation and weekends

Able to execute mechanical repairs and replacement (bearings, shafts, gearboxes, belts)

Able to replace an electric motor (mechanical and electrical)

Able to do all day-to-day maintenance on a variety of equipment

Able to read schematics, diagrams, service manuals, parts manuals

Experience using equipment diagnostics and hand tools

Metal welding, cutting and fabrication experience preferred

Must have a good safety record and adhere to all company safety standards

Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must be willing to work in adverse environmental conditions (heat, dirt, dust, tropical elements)

Must be willing to work at high levels (130Ft)

Electrical knowledge is a plus

Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred

WORK EXPERIENCES

Candidate will have 3 years’ experience working on Industrial Maintenance

Must pass an aptitude test (based on experience and certifications)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma Required

Mechanical or electrical certification is a plus
