This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

Essential Job Functions:

Analysis and design of rolling element bearings, magnetic bearings, hydrostatic bearings, and bearing sump designs.

Innovate and test oil and fuel lubrication skids for bearing and sump applications.

Collaborate with top-tier bearing suppliers to procure hardware that meets our high standards.

Correlate field data with predictions to drive improvements.

Lead laboratory experiments for design verification that pave the way for groundbreaking advancements.

Monitor health and rig responses in our sophisticated bearing systems.

Required Experience:

In-depth knowledge of Tribology (lubrication, friction, and wear) and thermomechanical analysis of bearing systems.

Exceptional presentation skills for conveying technical information both internally and externally.

Strong written and verbal communication skills that foster collaboration and clarity.

A team player with a dedicated worth ethic, ready to make an impact.

Proven experience in engaging with customers to define requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project updates.

Ability to develop standards and guidelines that enhance our operational excellence.

Education and Experience:

MS in Engineering with a focus on bearings and 5 years’ of related experience, or BS in Engineering with 8 years’ of experience in turbomachinery bearing design and analysis.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office and/or manufacturing environment.

Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).
