JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Lehigh Valleys Strategic Communications department is seeking a creative, analytical, social media and web-savvy part time Marketing and Communications Specialist.
This position will participate in the planning, development, and distribution of a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies for storytelling and general communications for the university.
Position Responsibilities
An interest in multimedia content and ability to think creatively about multichannel storytelling
Website updates
Special event advertising and promotional material design and creation
Conceptualize and coordinate multimedia storytelling through photography
Attend college events as needed to assist with capturing content or event logistics
Monitor news and media presence, monitor and track analytics of the website and digital traffic.
Create content for information sheets, brochures, articles, and other external communications.
Excellent writing skills and ability to write for a variety of platforms
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate well as part of a team
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelors degree preferably in a marketing-related field, and 1 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in developing and executing a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies.
Proven ability to use data and metrics to develop strategies, drive decisions, and achieve goals. Demonstrated experience using Google Analytics is preferred.
Experience using web content management systems
Knowledge and experience utilizing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube to drive marketing strategies
Experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
