Department:  Business Services
Supervisor:  Custodial Project Manager (Unique Source, PADOT, GKA)

BASIC FUNCTION
Performs a wide variety of janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings ensuring quality standards are met.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A.  Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks to include, but not be limited to:  sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, emptying and cleaning ash trays, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance such as stripping and waxing, etc.
B.  Ensures that equipment used in the performance of all duties is maintained in a clean and operable condition. Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager in a timely manner.
C.  Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager to include, but not be limited to:  snow removal, grass cutting, etc.
D.  Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 No formal education required.
 Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.
 Must have the ability to call Custodial Project Manager at least one hour prior to start of each shift to report absence.
 Must be available and flexible to work on a seven day schedule.
 Must complete and successfully pass background check that is acceptable by the worksite.
Must be able to maintain a working cell phone
