responsibilities:
– Perform Quality Control and Sterility Assurance activities, including:
– Environmental monitoring to support non-sterile and sterile areas of the facility.
– Routine bioburden testing on raw materials and finished product.
– Bacterial endotoxin testing on pharmaceutical water system samples, raw materials and finished products.
– Identification of microbial isolates.
– Entering results in the electronic documentation system.
– Ensuring that all necessary testing is performed and evaluated against applicable procedures.
– Successfully gown qualify to perform sterility assurance and routine activities in Grade B areas of the facility.
qualifications:
– Bachelors degree Required- Microbiology is preferred, or related science, and demonstrated abilities and experience of a microbiologist in a sterile product Quality Control role
– Recent experience in aspects of sterility assurance including gowning and investigations
– Demonstrates good communication skills
– Has ability to work effectively with a team and able to work independently
– Has knowledge of cGMP requirements and ability to generate high quality data
– Has some computer application experience (i.e., database use and management)
– At least 3 years practical laboratory experience is preferred
skills: Quality control, Microbiology, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
