DHL has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Maintenance Manager at our MIA Aviation station in Miami, Florida. This position must perform the different tasks required in an aircraft line management, including, third parties scheduling and approval of overtime, arranging schedule maintenance and manpower to comply with our operations requirements, FAA and Panama AAC regulations

Key Responsibilities

· All tasks and functions as described in DHL Aero Expreso’s GMM 1.4.K.

· Comply with all requirements stated in RACP Libro XVIII Article 91.

· Recruit, hire, and develop aircraft maintenance technicians to maintain aircraft at Miami Station according to RACP Libro XIV Art 284 and 285.

· Lead the maintenance activities on DHL Aero Expreso’s aircraft, guaranteeing highest level of quality and reliability.

· Ensures compliance with the regulations (FAA and AAC) while performing maintenance activities, and adherence to all DHL Aero Expreso’s procedures as published in the approved GMM, MOE, as well as the aircraft manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and associated technical publications.

· Manages facilities to keep compliance according to industry standards, as well as U.S. and Panamanian regulations.

· Manages the team of leads and mechanics under the DHL values and principles.

· Maintains a timely communication with Panama’s leadership and maintenance control in terms of the fleet status, maintenance activities and schedule and unscheduled work on the station.

· Supports QA audits of the Miami Line Maintenance station and timely responds to findings according to DAE Quality Management Manual.

· Manages line maintenance vendors to support specific maintenance activities in the Miami station balancing the team’s workload and ensuring the fastest, safest and with most quality process to return aircraft to service.

· Monitor station staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate maintenance coverage and operational efficiency.

· Review overtime and shift allocation according to local regulations as not to exceed personnel working hours.

· Reviews and addresses all safety related findings and concerns as reported via IQSMS, QA Audits, Regulatory Agency audits, etc.

· Review operational delays and implement reliability action items that will minimize delays and increase efficiency as continuous improvement efforts.

· Take action to ensure that the personal are trained and qualified to perform duties as assigned.

· Review aircraft log entries with Maintenance personal and implement changes as require having parts available if it’s required.

· Arranges travel for himself or his team to recover aircraft out of service, trainings or other activities related to his position.

· Ensure the data entry related to maintenance actions taken into our records data system (Trax) in an accurate and prompt manner.

· Provides aircraft airworthiness releases when required, RII inspections when required.

· Familiarizes enough with the operation in such a way that can act as supervisor or Mechanic if required.

· When authorized by the Senior Manager, Quality Control and Quality Assurance, perform inspection of designated Required Inspection Items as outlined in the General Maintenance Manual, when performing this duty will be directly responsible to the Senior Manager, Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

· Manages and coordinates all efforts with the DHL Miami airport stakeholders for aircraft movement, tail swaps and work required on the fleet supporting the Miami Hub operation.

· Creates alliances among the teams to ensure win/win situations for both departments and for DHL.

· And other assigned duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications

Certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Must) Preferred, Title in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electric or Electronic Engineering.

10 years of experience in commercial airline maintenance (with an active A&P license), with minimum of 5 years of supervisory roles.

Fluent English and Spanish for (spoken, reading and writing).

Aircraft Maintenance Technician license issued by the AAC.
