Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees general office operations.

Collaborates with Upward Bound staff with planning and organizing of program events (monthly Saturday Sessions during the academic year and six-week residential summer program by:

Purchasing food and supplies for programming

Ability to work Saturdays (once a month)

Collaborating with university partners for summer conferencing

Assisting with set up/break down, organizing transportation, and documentation of events

Serving as a positive role model for high school participants

Creating participant files, sending acceptance letters, and tracking admission status

Maintaining personnel files and processing staff time and effort reports

Filing, answering phones, emails, and fax

Additional Responsibilities

Attends professional conferences and trainings

Aids program staff in completion of annual performance report

Other duties as needed

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

At least 2 years related administrative experience

Strong organizing and planning skills

Attention to detail

Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record

Availability to work some evenings and weekends.

Ability to lift 30lbs

Additional Information:

This is a grant funded position. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.

Salary: $19/hr

Hours: 20/week
