Building Support

Position Pay:
$22.48
After 6 Months: $26.00
Must be available to work all shifts.
Primary Purpose:
Maintain facility and support maintenance activities
Job Duties:
Preventative maintenance and repair on facilities and associated equipment
Perform light carpentry, construction, electrical, and plumbing
Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics
Use ladders and aerial platforms
Lift up to and including 80 lbs.
Operate motorized industrial vehicles – Forklifts, Aerial Lifts
Perform machine troubleshooting as required
Safely use hand and power tools
Work with solvents, oil, grease, ink, and cleaning chemicals
Maintain an organized and clean work area
Travel as requested by the company
Complete training requirements as defined by the Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
Comply with plant safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Address facility needs caused by inclement weather
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
2 year technical degree or 4 year degree preferred
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Conduct general facility maintenance tasks, as defined by the maintenance manager or Director of Process and Facilities Engineering
General knowledge of or ability to learn: AC/DC Motors, LOTO, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and plumbing
Knowledgeable of applicable codes, laws, and regulations
Desire to learn, complete required training, and professionally develop
Ability to work in a variety of environments – outdoor, indoor, confined space, heights and all weather conditions
Maintain and improve Preventative Maintenance programs
Ability to work independent and work well as part of a team
Ability to work overtime or any shift as required
Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
Ability to work from heights
Ability to work with computer and automation equipment
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to use a variety of measurement devices
Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks
Able to maintain 5s and a safe work environment
Able to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Willingness to comply with all company policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with employees at various levels of the organization
Experience
1 year of General Facilities Maintenance preferred
1 year of electrical experience
1 year of PLC experience preferred
1-2 year(s) of general building maintenance experience
