### Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Flint or Bay City offices. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in civil or environmental engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

### Typical responsibilities include:

– – Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction including the following: Site planning; Site grading; Site balancing; Storm water design; Horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities
– Obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits
– Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
– Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
– Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
– Monitor task budget and progress
– Conduct on-site observations as needed
– Maintain multiple project assignments
– Verify field survey notes
– Prepare project status and other reports
– Assist Project Managers
– Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
– Attend seminars and/or training classes
– Maintain excellent client relations
– Maintain a safe working environment

### Education:

– – Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required

### Skills/Experience:

– – 0 to 3 years of related experience required
– Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
– Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
