CNC Set Up Machinist 1st

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Setup and operate CNC lathe and mill machines to
produce parts in accordance with blueprint specifications and work
instructions Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and
instructions Use inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, and
height gauges to perform quality checks on parts, and make adjustments
on machines and tools Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using
instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Machine parts to
specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines,
shapers, or grinders. Measure, examine, or test completed units to check
for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision
instruments, such as micrometers. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or
specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining
operations. Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement
of cuts. Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing
personnel to exchange technical information. OTHER EXPERIENCE
AND QUALIFICATIONS: Hands-on knowledge of CNC machines, either gained on
the shop floor or from a CNC degree program CNC setup experience with
the ability to operate in a job shop, performing several setups
throughout the day A desire to learn new things, apply what you already
know, and never shy away from sharing your opinion to improve a product
