Chemistry Group Lead

Eurofins DQCI, LLC seeks a Chemistry Group Lead in Mounds View, Minnesota to perform the following job duties: Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g.., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods Review and offer improvement suggestions for SOPs and Methods, Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/EC 17025, government regulatory, and company requirements relevant to assigned duties, Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment, Registration of incoming samples (as needed), maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes, Enter the laboratory data into laboratory information management systems (LIMS), in a timely and accurate manner, Maintain proficiency in all methods offered to clients by the chemistry department in accordance with quality and productivity expectations, Verify, validate and report results to clients electronically in a timely manner, Facilitate bench-level process improvement initiatives by working with a team to use LEAN and 6s principles to identity process difficulties and proposed solutions Take an active role in solution implementation, Ability to use scientific reasoning to investigate laboratory abnormalities: Perform a non-conformance investigation, identify root cause(s) and propose appropriate corrective actions, Perform routine equipment/instrument maintenance and perform assessment of malfunctioning laboratory equipment, Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients staff and co-workers.
