DIY Media Group has an immediate opening for a Materials Coordinator in the BookBaby Print Shop at our Pennsauken, NJ facility. The Materials Coordinator works with Print Shop supervisors to oversee operations, arranging and preparing production components for binding, casing operations, and packing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating and assigning work to machine operators. Additionally, you may assist and cover machine operators’ work to ensure that clients’ printing orders are completed efficiently with a high level of quality.DIY Media Group is the parent company to industry-leading brands Disc Makers and BookBaby. This is a 5-day, 40-hour work week with occasional overtime as business requires.Responsibilities:Follow all safety procedures at all timesAssist at the Hunkeler (Book Block Converter)Pair text and cover componentsCover breaks for machine operatorsArrange and prepare production components for binding, casing operations, and packingScan all transactions as necessary and update computer logs on completed workflowsCommunicate orally or in writing about process changes and equipment failuresAdapt to daily and sometimes hourly changes in workflow and priorities as directed by the Department Manager and/or Shift SupervisorParticipate in Lean and Continuous improvement events and initiativesWork in a manner that is in alignment with DIY’s values
