Phlebotomy – Team Lead (Long Island)

LOCATION: Requires travel in both Nassau and Suffolk counties
HOURS: 7:00am – 4:00pm; Monday – Friday with alternating Saturdays
FULL TIME: benefits eligible
In this role, you will:
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service
- Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages
- Collect/prepare non-blood specimens
- Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering
- Work closely with Phlebotomy management to oversee the daily activities of the territory
- Assist with training new hires
- Provide backup coverage to the Phlebotomy Supervisor
- Assist with monthly reports
- Address errors, redraws and QA with Phlebotomists and conduct retraining as necessary
All you need is:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience, minimum 1 year
- Previous team lead experience, a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze, solve problems and make evaluative judgments
- Strong computer and data entry skills, including knowledge of Excel
Salary Range: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour (depending on experience). Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
