Description
SAIC is looking for mutliple Logistics Analysts at multiple experience levels to join our team supporting our customer the Army Futures Command (S3I) in Huntsville, AL. Looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual with the ability to organize, problem-solve, coordinate, and administer multiple assignment concurrently. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as a team player performing a variety of functions to negotiate, administer, monitor, and track all procurement activity.
Job Description:
The candidate will source, negotiate and purchase IT Hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies and incidental services necessary for operation of an organization or program.
Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
Monitors performance of suppliers.
Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions/procurement.
Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Junior Level – Bachelors and three (3) years of experience; Additional four (4) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Senior Level – Bachelors and six (6) years of experience; Additional four (4) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Principal Level – Bachelors and ten (10) years of degree; Additional four (4) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance to begin work on the contract; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Experience with procurement, materials management, inventory management, and material tracking
Close out purchase orders upon receipt and final payment of all deliverables
Manage and track procurement activity that meet specifications, quality, budget, and schedule
Ensure all procurement actions are in accordance with applicable requirements (FARS/DFARS)
Experience with purchasing, vendor interaction, and billing practices
Ability to work with little or no direction, prioritize and multitask, organize, schedule and coordinate multiple work phases.
Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate via email, phone calls, and/or video teleconference
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, Adobe PDF
