Verdantas is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer Co-Op . This position will be in Toledo, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., sampling of various media, site inspections, and in a support role for field engineers/geologists/scientists)

Researching, collecting, and entering data, and applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data

Assisting in preparing engineering-related calculations, designs, plans, and conceptual models

Performing preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling

Assisting with environmental assessments

Preparing technical reports

The position may include travel

Qualifications:

Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Relevant courses related to principles of civil or environmental engineering, geology, or similar

Proficient in MS Office products

Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting

Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members

Must have a valid driver’s license

Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities are a plus

40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus

Internship or coop experience a plus
