Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will oversee a team of 20 employees, manage work assignments, and ensure the completion of daily preventive maintenance tasks. The role involves maintaining an accurate inventory of critical spare parts, reducing operating costs, and enhancing operational efficiencies through continuous improvement programs. The Maintenance Manager will use performance metrics to guide activities for increased efficiencies and cost reduction. They will also participate in weekly plant meetings with production teams. The position requires a balanced mix of mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to be hands-on for training new employees or performing maintenance tasks when necessary.

Hard Skills

MUST HAVES:

high school diploma or GED

5 years of industrial maintenance experience

3 years of maintenance management/supervision

plastics/injection molding experience

ELECTRICAL:

480 v experience

3 phase experience

Ability to read/interpret blue prints

Work Environment

This is a very clean, climate-controlled environment. The position is first shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as necessary. Currently, the team is working Saturdays to catch up on production. Candidates must be okay with this schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a maintenance team, ensuring performance and safety.

Manage mechanical and electrical tasks, providing hands-on training.

Utilize performance metrics to enhance operations and participate in production meetings.

Collaborate with departments to identify and implement improvements.

Experience in maintenance management, preferably in plastics manufacturing.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.
