Job Summary
The Third Party Risk Lead works with internal and external Business Partners to assess and mitigate risks throughout the supply chain. The Lead drives the development of processes, tools and templates to identify, prioritize, manage, mitigate and monitor disruptions, allowing effective management of supplier risks on a proactive basis to ensure compliance, business continuity and resilience. Responsibilities of this role include providing data analysis reporting on third party risk, focusing on conducting and evaluating third party risk assessments and applying established criteria across defined risk domains to mitigate supplier relationship risks.
Essential Functions
Leads the on-going development and maturing of the Third Party Risk Management Program, through collaboration with stakeholders, process improvement and automation
Manages & performs data analytics on assigned vendor assessments, including interfacing with suppliers, gathering data responses/questionnaires, and ensures diligent follow up with third-party and business areas/functional teams for missing information or response.
Facilitates the review of risk subject matter experts and other business stakeholders when appropriate throughout the lifecycle of an engagement from onboarding to termination, including a risk analysis and recommendations for corrective action if warranted .
Monitors and tracks identified issues and risks presented by third-party relationships through resolution, working in collaboration with Category Management, business units and functional risk domain subject matter experts to identify gaps in controls and recommend corrective action.
Applies a continuous improvement mindset to recommend process enhancements on policy, standards, procedures, tools, templates and reporting.
Synthesize insights into concise and impactful presentations to support NiSource strategic objectives and ensure appropriate level of risk awareness
Maintains a broad knowledge of third-party risks, trends, and best practices as part of continuous education
Creates, publishes, and monitors relevant supply chain metrics and reporting to provide data visibility and support business needs, identifies areas of risk and recommends solution options.
Develops and executes communications plans for the Third Party Risk Program
Develops and delivers organizational training and education in support of the Third Party Risk Program and automation
As needed, represents the Supply Chain team in execution of strategic projects collaborating with cross functional teams
Interprets and enforces policies, standards, and procedures for compliance by third party suppliers, and recommends remedial action for non-compliance to the assigned functional team.
Required Qualifications For Position
Bachelors Degree Business, Supply Chain or related area
4-6 years In the area of third party risk management and/or supplier relationship management
Comprehensive understanding of procurement and supply chain processes and systems High
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite High
Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution High
Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to analyze information to provide insight-driven recommendations High
Ability to identify challenges and propose creative solutions Medium
Knowledge or experience with SAP Ariba Low
Demonstrated leadership skills Low
Experience in leading change management and effective positive organizational, process or culture change Low

Salary Range:
$91,000.00 – $136,600.00
