General Function
The Missouri State University Libraries Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist will develop visual promotional materials and participate in events and activities that support and enhance the library’s brand.
Description of Primary Duties
The Missouri State University Libraries is seeking applicants for a graphic design and marketing specialist. This non-student part-time position will serve the University Libraries’ marketing and communications efforts by developing visual promotional materials and participating in events and activities that support and enhance the library’s brand.
Under the direction of the public services coordinator, the graphic design and marketing specialist will design clear, on-brand graphic communications for digital and print pieces, translate messaging concepts into marketing materials, create compelling visual content for web and social media, and assist with market research and branding initiatives. This position will also provide support for library events, tabling and other outreach efforts.
This non-student part-time position offers a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work a select number of hours in the office each week.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Demonstrated mastery within the Adobe Create Suite (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, etc.) is required. Experience in higher education, event planning and/or recruitment is preferred.
