Front-End Engineer II, GTMC GED-OPE
Amazon
Description
As part of the Amazon-wide Global Talent Management and Compensation team, the Organizational Planning and Effectiveness team’s mission is to enable Amazon to build healthy and effective organizations with the right leaders, in the right roles, at the right time. We develop philosophies, mechanisms and products that guide leaders to inspect and make data-driven decisions to improve their organizational operating models, structures, and executive talent. A successful candidate will be technically deep with an established background in developing highly performant and available services, have great communication skills, the ability to shape the structure and grow the skills of their team, and be motivated to achieve results in a dynamic fast paced environment. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the design of the system architecture, the development and launch of core product features, promoting code quality and best practices and driving operational excellence. You are passionate about the customer experience, take pride in building high quality software, and have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering new features and products. You value collaboration, making data-driven decisions, and can comfortably communicate with others, in both technical and non-technical roles. We operate as a startup within Amazon, providing tremendous ownership over product and technology direction.
Work/Life Balance
Our team puts a high value on work-life balance. It isn’t about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it’s about the flow you establish that brings energy to both parts of your life. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment. We offer flexibility in working hours and encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.
