Job Description:
As part of the Marketing and Communications (M&C) team reporting to the Director of M&C, this position works closely with other Intermountain Healthcare M&C professionals, as well as with other internal and external audiences to manage approved marketing and communications projects and functions system-wide. This position creates and implements marketing and communications plans, helps manage the organizations response to emerging local and national issues, and manages assigned communication channels, portfolios, or functions. This position builds mutually positive and constructive relationships among Intermountain Healthcare, its stakeholders, and the community and works with traditional and social media to place stories and respond to inquiries as assigned.
Scope
1.Develops internal and external communications and media relations plans that raiseawareness and increase stakeholder engagement for care site, regional and system strategic priorities.
2. Manages media relations for care site and/or region. Monitors regional and national media and alerts Marcom colleagues and senior leadership of issues and opportunities. Proactively works to place stories on local, regional and national levels to generate exposure across the spectrum of digital, social and traditional channels. Tracks and reports media stories and social media engagement. Develops and manages speakers bureau comprised of care site thought leaders, clinical experts, etc. to provide visibility for the care sites services, physicians and educational/health programs.
3. Contributes content and story ideas to leverage across the system in different communication channels, including in e-newsletters, social media and associate forums. Writes, edits and proofs materials to ensure quality and accuracy of care site/regional/system content.
4. Serves as lead communications advisor and strategist to care site leadership teams, ensuring system and care site messages are compelling, relevant and effectively shared with all levels of associates and providers.
5. Collaborates with care site marketing manager to find opportunities to leverage content for integrated Marcom strategies and tactics. Assists in developing annual plans and budgets for assigned communication areas and monitoring spend for efficiency, effectiveness and stewardship.
6. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Bachelors Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field is required
Five (5) years of experience is required

1. Proven results in developing and internal communications and media relations programs. Demonstrated competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills; Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Working knowledge of market dynamics, current marketing/ communication principles, digital, social and traditional formats.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$33.01 – $50.97
