Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ARC Welder who qualifies to AWS standards.

The ideal candidate will ensure welds pass visual, radiographic, and metallographic examinations and must have a comprehensive understanding of all weld symbols and weld specifications.

The welder will determine the sequence of welding operations, tolerances, dimensional requirements, and the correct relationship of parts based on blueprints, welding manuals, and established procedures.

Responsibilities include performing difficult gas, inert gas arc, or metallic arc welding on various types of metals and their alloys on all surfaces (flat, horizontal, vertical, or circular) of product parts and assemblies, adhering to customer and engineering specifications and requirements.

Required Skills

AWS certification

Knowledge of weld symbols and weld specifications

Expertise in gas, inert gas arc, and metallic arc welding

Experience with welding thin materials (.010″ or lighter)

Experience with welding thick materials (.101” to .5”)

Ability to weld close to edge (.050″ or less)

Skill in welding thick to thin combinations

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Burbank, California.

Work Environment

The work involves welding various types of metals and alloys used in the construction of products, parts, assemblies, and equipment. It requires special care to avoid burn-offs, particularly when working close to edges.
