This is your chance to join our high-impact Global Sales Operations team as the Field Sales Operations Manager for one of our divisions within North America Startups (NAMER SUP).

Key job responsibilities

The NAMER SUP Sales Operations team is a critical engine powering the growth of the Startups segment. In partnership with our Go-To-Market (GTM) stakeholders, were on a mission to secure the next generation of high-growth startups and make AWS their primary Cloud Service Provider (CSP) of choice. The NAMER SUP Sales Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering on NAMER Startups goals and priorities by closely collaborating with the Go-To-Market and Business Development teams. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in optimizing workflows, extracting actionable insights from data, and navigating organizational complexities to define key sales support systems aligned with business objectives. Youll build strong relationships across functions such as Sales, Business Development, Partner, Finance, and Marketing, enabling you to lead change management initiatives for process improvements and focus on enhancing operational productivity across the NAMER SUP organization. Ultimately, youll be instrumental in removing roadblocks and driving solutions that empower our sales force to effectively acquire, grow, and retain the best startups on AWS. Your work will be crucial in supporting our mission to make AWS the CSP of choice for the next generation of high-growth startups by optimizing the operational engine that powers our growth.

Our North America Startups Sales Operations team acts as a trusted advisor, providing “Chief Operating Officer (COO)”-level support and thought leadership to sales leaders. This translates to high-quality decision-making built on a foundation of data-driven insights. We go beyond the immediate, offering an “outside-in” perspective on the long-term health of the business. We identify and own critical, long-term operational initiatives – the “big rocks” that may not yield immediate results but are essential for long-term viability. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

– Bachelors degree or equivalent

– 10 years of sales operations or equivalent experience

– Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

– Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

– Masters degree or equivalent

– Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

– Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

– Experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
